BIOGRAPHY
Jillian Hessel has been teaching Pilates since 1981. Known for her concise verbal instruction and crystal clear imagery, she is a National & International Presenter at Pilates Conferences everywhere. Since the advent of Covid-19, Jillian has kept busy teaching Group and Private lessons via Zoom. She has a strong presence on social media, and is gaining prominence on as a “Living Pilates Legend!” She filmed 5 new programs, under the Active Aging moniker, for PilatesAnytime in June, 2021. Jillian is the author of "Pilates Basics,"available on amazon.com, and on her website, www.jillianhessel.com. “Pilates Basics” is also available in a Chinese translation! This workshop features Jillian’s signature Posture Analysis, her B.(breathe) E. (Energize) A.(Align) M.(Move) Fundamentals; and Pilates Mat exercises. It is particularly useful for newer Pilates Teachers, who may still struggle to find their teaching style. Learn how to introduce the Pilates principles of breathing, energy, posture and movement in a group exercise setting. Learn exercise modifications for specific clients, so that the group class may proceed without pause, while individual clients choose their own exercise variations, according to their own fitness ability and physical condition.
